Once upon a time, there was a little boy bird named Joe. Joe was a crow and he lived in Delaware. He grew and he flew a few miles south and landed in Washington, DC where he was a scavenger in the Senate first, and then in 2020, he became POTUS. But to most of us, he is just a senile, fragile old crow, named Joe. Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill, we’ve got some vultures, ravens, dodo birds, turkeys, pigeons, and quite a few chickens who are afraid of the truth and they play chicken in standing up for the taxpayers and important matters that need attention. They hide in their nests and coops and anyone who ruffles their feathers gets pooped on. Not so long ago, in 2016, there was a wise older eagle, named Donald, who was elected POTUS. He was kind of a new kind of bird, freshly hatched with new ideas, unlike the old birds who should have been kicked out of their nests of comfort on Capitol Hill a long time ago.
He was a blunt bird, and he would never back down to the bird brains on Capitol Hill. He stood up for us in the flock of true patriots, as he understood what the Constitution meant, how to defend our flag and borders, and he made America soar to heights we had not seen in decades. A few of the vultures named Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff and Nadler decided that the eagle would become their prey. They tried to scratch up enough phony evidence with their talons to clip the eagle’s wings, but they failed, and Donald still sat in the main nest on Pennsylvania Avenue. When the time came for the election in 2020, the scavengers decided to pay some beady-eyed hawks from foreign nests to rig the election. This time, Donald the eagle, would become a victim of fowl play. His wing span was broken and America fell into the hands of a murder of crows . Today, the eagle is fighting for freedom and not just his own. He is weary and worn, but by the grace of God he still stands. I pray every day that the murder of crows and all in that ravenous flock of birds who seek to destroy Donald the eagle, and all of us who believe “In God We Trust”, our Constitution, our flag, and our National Anthem, that God will clip their wings and they will pay for the wicked, evil and malicious things they have done. They can not be like ducks out of God’s sight, because he is waiting in the blind for them all to take flight. God’s aim is perfect and if they choose not to change, repent, find Jesus and claim Him as their Savior, nothing can save them and they will fall like clay pigeons during target practice. Under God’s wings is the only peaceful and safe haven for America. We just need to get rid of the cocky birds that are ruining our nest and find more eagles and a few falcons to put our homeland back together with God’s wisdom, strength, grace and mercy. America needs to remember the correct pecking order which starts with God being first in our lives. Let it be so!

Mary, Love your blogs! Interesting that in your latest, you used the expression, “Birds of a Feather, Flock together, in Washington DC.” Thank you, for your insights into the current state of the world, life situations, your personal experiences and God’s Holy Word.
I recently used the expression in a graphic panel I created concerning the dishonesty of two very public personalities in the news (shown here). – Bruce
