"Leap of Faith and into His Will" by Mary LaFrance

In the Old Testament, God’s word in Psalm 40:3 reads: “He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord.” This was perfect and truly what I felt and wanted those around me and beyond to see, to hear, and witness the will of God unfolding before their eyes. A modern day miracle was occurring and there was no other explanation but to say, “Thy will be done.”

My Child…Your Life is a Symphony. You are to Me a beautiful song. Your life is a sweet symphony that I Myself am composing note by note. I take your failures, your tears, your sickness, and your triumphs, and I turn them into a glorious harmony that will be sung in the heavens for all eternity. All your thoughts and deeds are laid before Me like music notes on a page. Every choice you make is a significant chord in an eternal arrangement. Don’t let the noise of the world destroy your magnificent melody, My beloved. Seek Me in the quiet stillness of the morning, and I will fill your heart with divine music. Stay in rhythm with My Spirit throughout the day, and I will make your life an irresistible medley that will linger like sweet perfume in the hearts of all who journey with you. Walk with Me in absolute surrender, and you will draw others to Me in a rhapsody of praise. Love, your King and Composer

It wasn’t until until later, in August of the 2006, that my Composer woke me up at 2:00 a.m., and the Holy Spirit directed me to get up, and go to my laptop. I sat there pondering what was happening. Within a few minutes I began typing and as my fingers flew across the keys, God was laying the words on my heart for a song, called “She is a Warrior.” Here are the words:

(Verse 1) She is an inspiration full of courage and dignity, she is strong and a shining hope for all the world to see. She is full of grace and beauty, and everything in between, with each trial she stands to face what life will bring.

(Chorus) She is a warrior, looking to survive in this life. She opens up her heart for all the world to see. She is a warrior, a friend, a mother, and a wife. Looking in the mirror I see, this warrior and survivor is you and me.

(Verse 2) Sometimes her soul grows weary as she goes through each day, but she smiles and has the faith, that God will lead her way. And when she feels those lonely times from morning into the night, that’s when she’ll find the the strength and continue to fight. (Repeat the chorus)

Soon after I finished writing the lyrics, the melody quickly followed. Within an hour, the Holy Spirit had given me a complete song from start to finish. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I must have sat and reread this gift from God over and over and over, again. This song, would become my theme song for the rest of my journey, note by note, measure by measure, and it would give my life’s symphony a power unlike any other thing I’d every experienced!
