Imagine if the blanket ever gets torn, those moments represent our trials and sorrows. God repairs our blanket with the warmth of His unfailing love. When the blanket starts to fray at the binding, it’s been used so much. His Word simply binds our blanket with renewed and refreshed threads.
Imagine if the blanket got stained with blood, sweat and tears. We could close our eyes and picture Jesus as he shed His blood on Calvary. The amount of sheep’s wool it takes to make a woolen blanket is vast. The Worthy Lamb has plenty of His blanket of grace, mercy and love. The amount of cotton it takes to make a cool summer blanket is huge. God made the cotton light and airy to give us peaceful slumber on those hot summer nights.
Imagine if you had no blanket of any kind. I remember feeling this way until I found Jesus. Life was cruel, cold and many times made me shiver. I am so glad I found “The Blanket” of Jesus Christ so many years ago.
Imagine if every human currently on this earth, suddenly found his or her “blanket.” There would be reason to never stop dancing, singing and peace would reign. The threads of each blanket would produce faith in God, instead of human idols. Yes, Jesus’ blanket is there for the taking, we only need to open our hearts and hold out our hands.
Imagine the strongest, yet softest, most beautiful security blanket in the world…the tag would read, ” Made by God, woven by Jesus, and delivered by the Holy Spirit.
